HMS Coordinator

For our customer in the oil industry we are looking for a HSE Coordinator. Start up date is in March/April 2018, 5 month contract with possibility for an extension.
The HSE Coordinator provides challenge to and supports the Rig Manager in delivering a safe operation in compliance with MD requirements, local and international legislation, and industry standards.

HSE performance on own rig
Daily review and follow up on reported incidents and observations, including quality of data entered in Synergi
Counterpart to client’s local HSE representative
Follow up on investigations pertaining to own rig and incident learning
Emergency response for own rig
Chemical, environmental and waste management
Work environment on own rig

Qualification requirements:
Formal education in suitable technical, marine, HSE or quality engineering disciplines
Proficient in HSE management systems
Good English verbal and written communication skills
The HSE Coordinator shall acquire the required knowledge and understanding of current laws, regulations, procedures and agreements that govern the operation. Particular emphasis is attached to the rules and regulations relating to emergency preparedness, working environment and safety
Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to safety in offshore drilling activities and onshore management and work activities
Offshore safety courses and medical certificates complying with the requirements stipulated for regular crew by the Continental Shelf Authority of the operating area
Proficient with safety management principles
Conversant with quality management principles
Conversant with environmental management principles
Demonstrate profound interest in safety aspects
Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
Computer literate

KPI follow-up and performance management
Implement local and HQ lead campaigns on own rig
Yearly HSE plan for own rig
Minimum 2 rig visits per rig per year
Ownership of HSE performance and guidance of HSE personnel offshore
Quality checks and verification of reporting in Synergi
Counterpart to clients local HSE representative
Follow-up investigations for own rig
Incident learning for own rig
Review and update bridging document
Responsible for planning, implement and follow-up emergency preparedness training for the onshore organization
Contingency manuals updates and review
Environmental reporting
Follow-up waste handling on own rig, including waste management program
Chemical management
Environmental management plan update
Environmental measurement program
Conduct chemical inspections
Spill management
Working environment
Participate in and follow up on finding of audits on own rig and internal audits on own rig
Ad hoc support to rig, client, Location Team, HQ and others
